A History of JDA

The Dell’Aquillas’ history in Hoboken started long before JDA Group. Track the dynamic history of our family business, from humble beginnings as a two-machine sewing operation to the modern, multifaceted JDA Group of today.

1920

Joseph begins garment manufacturing business in Hoboken with two sewing machines

1930

The Dell’Aquillas begin acquiring land to use for production, and eventually start developing and leasing to other renters

1940

After Joseph’s garment factory burns down in Hoboken, he relocates to a new property that is now the Mission 50

1950

After finishing college Gregory joins his father, assisting on the floor of his garment factory before ultimately coming in as a partner in JDA Group

1960

JDA breaks ground on its first development property
